Keeping Kids Safe Child ID Service
Having your child’s information with you at all times provides you with peace of mind. In the unfortunate event of a missing child, the first hour is the most critical hour and due to panic and distress, parents are unable to provide an accurate description of their child.
Law enforcement recommends that parents keep an up-to-date printed and electronic child identification (child I.D.) for all of their children handy, in case of an emergency.
The FBI receives over 2000 missing children reports every day. A child in the United States becomes missing every 40 seconds. Statistics from the US justice department and the world Almanac puts the chance of any child becoming missing at 1 in 42.
According to law enforcement throughout the United States, a parent’s best assurance for the quick and safe recovery of a missing child is to have a complete profile of the child on hand. The first hours after a child becomes missing is the most critical time for recovery. However it is also the time when the parents are in a panic mode and cannot remember a detailed description of their child.
WHAT PARENTS RECEIVE:
- Two laminated Wallet Child I.D. Cards
- Full Size Child I.D
- Your Child’s fingerprint, Photo and Critical information stored on the CDROM can be E-mailed to Police nationwide within seconds.
1. Your Child I.D. package is delivered to you in both digital and printed formats. Printed critical information about the child can be critical if a child has wandered off in a busy mall or theme park. Additionally, the information on the CDROM can be easily emailed to Police which is critical immediately after a child has gone missing.
2. Your child’s information on the Child I.D. CDROM is formatted so that it is best suited for the law enforcement’s system.
3. The information about each child is private and will not be stored in any database. In fact the information from a child will be deleted from our system, after the information is delivered to parents. Since parents are usually first to know about a missing child, having this information on hand would be their quickest alternative.

Why Guard-A-Kid?
Keeping Kids Safe endorses Guard-A-Kid's Child I.D. Package. State-of-the-art FBI quality digital fingerprint scanners are used to capture the child’s fingerprint images. A single Child I.D. card is not enough in finding a missing child. In many cases, missing children end up in other states. Parents are provided with two wallet-size printed child IDs, a large file-size child ID, and most importantly a CDROM that contains all of the child’s information in a digital format. The CDROM is extremely essential in transmitting the child’s information to other law enforcement agencies within the same city and also to agencies out of state. In fact, the full set of information from a missing child can be emailed to other agencies within seconds. The first hour after the child is reported missing is the most important time in recovering the child. The CDROM includes a file that contains all of the child’s information in the format that the police and the FBI prefer to see. Once the parent provides the CDROM to law enforcement and the law enforcement inserts it into their computer system, the child’s information is quickly formatted into their database and ready to be sent to other agencies worldwide.
According to law enforcement, it is essential to have full 10 fingerprints for accurate identification. While others offer a single card with only a thumb fingerprint, Guard-A-Kid’s digital fingerprint scanner captures the prints from all 10 fingers.
*For a little over $1 per week per child, employers can offer their employees the benefits of a yearly Child ID event offered through Keeping Kids Safe. Parents will receive one Child ID Kit per child, plus a Smart ID Stick to store the entire family's important information.
